Floors for Fresno's Subdivisions and Acreage
Fresno went from a small farm settlement to one of the fastest-growing places in Fort Bend County, and epoxy flooring here covers both sides of that story. The census counted 3,182 residents in 1990 and 24,486 in 2020, with growth of 188.8% between 2000 and 2010 alone. Most of our Fresno work is in attached garages in subdivisions such as Teal Run and Winfield Lakes. We also coat shops, barns and outbuildings on the larger lots toward the edge of the area.
A small town that grew up fast
Fresno got a post office in 1910, and in 1914 it had 32 residents, a general store and a hardware store. It stayed near 100 people through the 1960s. Growth picked up in the 1970s and 1980s as Houston spread south, and the subdivisions filled in over the next few decades. The residents are young, too. The 2020 median age was 32.2, and half of all households had children under 18.
Subdivision garages by phase
The Fort Bend MUD 23 area alone held more than 3,100 homes by 2006, built in phases.
- Teal Run began in the 1980s, paused during the oil bust and resumed in 1992. Garages from the earliest phases are now old enough to show cracks, stains and worn joints.
- The Estates of Teal Run (1999) and Teal Run North (2001) are in the middle range.
- Winfield Lakes and Andover Farms (2004) and Cambridge Falls (2005 onward) are the newest, and their slabs mostly need sealer removal.
We price the prep for the slab we find. Older floors cost more to repair, and the written quote explains why.
Shops, stables and acreage
NewPoint Estates offers acreage home sites and stables, and some Fresno properties have detached shops or barns. Those floors take more abuse than a garage: tractors, trailers, feed, fertilizer, hoof traffic and tools dropped from the bench. For those spaces we recommend our commercial and shop floor system, which uses thicker coats and a textured topcoat for grip. Barn aisles and tack rooms can be coated if the slab is sound. Stall floors that stay wet or are covered in bedding are a poor fit for any coating, and we will tell you that up front.
Systems we install in Fresno

- Epoxy flake floors for family garages full of bikes and sports gear
- Commercial and shop floor epoxy for outbuildings, barns and work bays
- Patio and pool deck coatings with texture and UV-stable color
Every Fresno estimate is free and includes a moisture reading and a crack check.
Working with your commute
Fresno is unincorporated, sits in Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction and runs along FM 521 and the Fort Bend Tollway. Many homeowners here commute, so we plan installs to keep your car out of the garage for as little time as possible. A polyaspartic system can return a garage to use faster than standard epoxy.

Fresno Questions
Can you coat a barn or shop floor on a Fresno acreage property?
Yes, if the slab is sound. We use our shop-grade system with thicker coats and a textured topcoat for equipment and foot traffic. Stall floors that stay wet or under bedding are a poor fit for any coating, and we will say so at the estimate.
My Teal Run garage is from the 1980s. What does it need?
Usually a full grind to remove stains and any old coating, plus crack and joint repair before the base coat. We check moisture and look at every crack. A flake system with a polyaspartic topcoat is a good fit for most of these garages.
How soon can I park in my Fresno garage after the coating?
It depends on the system and the weather. Polyaspartic systems return to service faster than standard epoxy. We give you a written time for walking on the floor and another for parking, based on the products used that day.
